Last fall this blog was nominated for Best Nitty Gritty Homeschool Blog. I don't allow myself to jump into that contest because I am a super-competitive-maniac. You might not believe it, but you would never ever want to play a game of Settlers of Catan with me. I will scratch your eyes out if you even try to win. Just ask my brother; he only has sight in his right eye. Kidding.
Anyway, I've been rolling "nitty gritty" around in my head these past six months. I am a transparent person. At least in real life. It's one word my bestest friends use to describe me. No games. No facade. I am who I am.
I haven't been like that on this blog. I mean no one is who they really are online, right? But I can try. I have wanted to drop the super hero cape for a long time, and I might as well start now.
Yesterday, I published a post — My God Will Supply All My Need. Ten hours later my husband walks through the door, looking defeated, announcing that our car {our only car} is mostly dying. This would be the car that we just dumped a bunch of money in a week ago to keep it alive. It has a new problem.
The car news was piled on top of our dryer news — it also decided to stop working last week. I have clothes hanging over the freezer; on the chairs; hey, even on the vacuum sweeper. Our home is one big clothes line.
I wanted to stomp up and down and scream. I'm so full of gratitude and grown-up like that.
But then I remembered that post. That dang-but-full-of-truth post published on MY blog yesterday written by me. Do I believe it?
I do.
As soon as I stopped huffing and puffing, I remembered:
God has been so faithful.
He provides.
He supplies
He is sovereign.
So, I will shut-up, settle down, and remember just how full my heart is . . . because it is . . . because of Him.

Good morning! I was wondering what state you lived in and what kind of dryer you need… I know its a loooong shot, but I thought maybe if you were close, you could have our perfectly good extra dryer that is sitting in our garage waiting for a new home! Someone gave it to us when we thought ours was breaking down, but it turned out all we needed to do was clean out our dryer exhaust! Hoping we can help!!

Hi!! I couldn’t find a contact button, so I’m commenting here. Have you heard of Give1Save1? It’s a great online adoption community – every week they feature different families and the community rallies around them to raise funds for their adoption – $1 at a time. Check it out and see if it might be something to help your family in your adoption: http://give1save1caribbean.blogspot.com/
