A few weeks ago, we rowed Harold and the Purple Crayon (FIAR Volume II).
We started off the week with a co-op class.
Painting the color wheel.
Drawing lots of purple chalk lines.
Gobbling strawberry, apple, peach-blueberry, and pumpkin goodness at our own pie picnic.
We continued the learning at home.
We watched a video about how crayons are made.
Constructed a purple picture with lots of shapes and fun purple things.
Colored a huge purple mural with Harold as the star artist.
Played Harold's drawing game.
We also watched an animated version of the story.
Another Harold hurrah was our field trip to The Artist Within.
Listening to the story
Glazing a ceramic crayon
We even had a purple crayon sugar cookie and some purple juice!

It was fun! š
Erin,
My secret is that I didn’t bake one pie. Since that was part of our co-op thing, other {wonderful} women baked pies. If I was flying solo, I would’ve done mini pies or tarts or something because I don’t need any full sized pies around here! š
I hope you have a BLAST!

Loved all the Harold activities. We will definitely have to do this one after the holidays. Thanks for all the ideas.
