Saturday night I checked out some milkweed at my in-law's house and sure enough there were some catepillars! We brought the largest one home and have been giving it fresh milkweed leaves. The first night it molted! It now looks big enough to start making its crysalis, so we gave it a branch. But it's seems content to eat and rest so far.
